RFF’s websites are designed for the whole conservation community including: private
owners, professional staff (foresters, biologists, lawyers, appraisers, etc.), and conservation service providers.
With all of RFF’s projects, the goal is to connect people to conservation by leveling the playing field, providing free access to critical conservation
information, tools, and services.

Harnessing the power of the internet, RFF has developed an extensive suite of
web-based solutions for conservation, supplying landowners with information, supporting conservation professionals,
and doing the dirty work of researching and identifying the ingredients to encourage on-the-ground conservation
efforts. Additionally, RFF’s websites are designed to speak to landowners in simple, effective language,
acknowledging their values and proprietary ownerships and their physical and visceral connections with their lands.
RFF does not preach; it provides vital conservation information, contacts and services.
Our program focus is to support and educate those that own the critical lands, lead them to the services they need to
enable conservation, describe the benefits (both economic and environmental) of conservation practices, and put it in

 Private Landowner Network
A nationwide directory of conservation resources, articles, and professionals provides a simple means for landowners
to connect with qualified professionals to navigate the complex ins and outs of land conservation. It is also a
great tool for conservation professionals to locate informaion and resources.
 Conservation Tax Center
Providing articles, federal and state tax incentives, lawyers and estate planners, to help landowners and
professionals plan for the future of one’s property.  Cooperative Conservation America
The compilation of national cooperative conservation case studies built for the White House Conference on Cooperative Conservation, held in 2005.  NRCS Energy Estimator Tools
RFF helped the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) develop four energy tools designed to increase energy
awareness in agriculture and to help farmers and ranchers identify where they can reduce their energy costs.  Conservation Program Decision Support System
This tool, funded by a NRCS Conservation Innovation Grant, will help you match your setting and conservation goals with appropriate conservation funding, technical assistance, cost share and rental programs offered by the Department of Agriculture, National Resources Conservation Service, and the Farm Service Agency.
(private, no public access) RFF developed a web-based data management tool for the American Chestnut Foundation (TACF) to manage their tree
breeding program.
 The Maine State Conservation Center is the flagship website for StateConservation.org with the
purpose of providing a comprehensive menu of conservation services and support for private landowners interested in sustainably managing the
natural resources and open space on their land.
With additional funding, more states will be added to StateConservation.org. This will help to empower a nationwide network of citizen stewards with tools and
resources to support wildlife habitat, open space, ecological and economic health, and energy efficiency. Providing the private landowner with conservation and
estate planning information is a necessity to help maintain our nation's rural heritage as well as its ecological and economic sustainability.

 Built in partnership with the Mississippi Wildlife Foundation with a grant from the Walton Family
Foundation. RFF created the Mississippi Conservation Center to address the conservation needs of Mississippi’s private landowners. Connecting people to conservation,
this website is designed to support the agricultural and forest sectors, help keep families on their farms, ranches and forests, through passing generations, and keep the
land healthy and sustainably productive.
